Balenciaga Debuted Stiletto Crocs and Twitter Hates Them

Just when you thought Crocs couldn’t get any uglier, Balenciaga showed up and said, “hold my beer.” Yup, Balenciaga stiletto crocs are coming and Twitter, as always, has strong opinions.

Balenciaga unveiled their Spring 2022 collection, “Balenciaga Clones” this week, and the monstrous stiletto Crocs stole the show. The models’ jeans were so long, they covered the shoes so you couldn’t actually see them. Maybe Balenciaga realized their terrible mistake too late and tried to damage-control?

No price has been announced yet, but we can only assume the shoes will be several times more than your average $50 pair of Crocs.

They also revealed a pair of chunky rain boots that are much more practical than their stiletto counterparts. To us, they look like any old rain boot, just way more expensive.

This actually isn’t the first time Balenciaga teamed up with Crocs. Back in 2017, the luxury fashion giant debuted a pair of Crocs-inspired platform clogs at a steep price tag of $850, and the shoes sold out even before even hitting stores.

Based on Twitter’s response to this footwear fail, we aren’t sure if the stiletto crocs will have the same successful fate.
