Easter may have snuck into March this year, but that doesn’t mean that April is devoid of holidays. Trader Joe’s new products, for instance, are always a reason to celebrate.
This April, Trader Joe’s is rolling out some timeless new products, as well as welcoming in (and welcoming back) seasonal delights.
From those taking advantage of the warmer weather and planning picnics to those that don’t even realize it’s getting warmer because we’re – er, they’re – perfectly happy curled up in the dark eating ice cream, TJ’s has an April roster that will keep everybody content.
April showers may talk a big game but this month, we’ll see the sun shining. The birds chirping. The flowers blooming. Daydream doodle that charcuterie board. Plan that tea party. Whatever you need, TJ’s has got you.
1. Savory Squares
These savory, plant-based squares are a brilliant use of nut and seed flowers to achieve crunch, flavor, and dippability without the use of gluten.
Whether you’re eating them straight out of the box watching Dune or using them as a shovel for a metric boatload of French onion dip while mingling around a snack table, these crackers have us asking just one thing:
Is “don’t be such a square” even an insult, or were all those people trying to be our friends this whole time? Maybe we should go call our childhood “bullies.”

2. Vanilla Cookie Thins
TJ’s has long supplied customers with Meyer Lemon and Triple Ginger cookie thins, but after 15 years they’re bringing a classic vanilla into the mix.
It can be nerve wracking owning your shelfspace, knowing that you have some heavy-hitting siblings to keep up with, but these aromatic cookies uphold the family reputation.
Without such a zingy and distinct profile as their citrus and ginger counterparts, these are a neutral addition to anything from your sweet charcuterie to your sundae bar.

3. Brown Sugar Boba Mochi
We’ve all been there. Hit with a boba craving but it’s a little too late at night and we’re a little too “not wearing pants” to go out into the real world.
Home boba tea kits are great, but this is next-level. These take all the flavor and chewy delight of boba, and package them into a shelf-stable, ready-when-you-are snack that even eliminates that hazard of stabbing yourself with the boba straw when you’re just too darn excited to aim for your mouth.

4. Sonora Style Flour Tortilla
The corn tortilla is great, but spring is a time to appreciate both flowers and flour. Gently warm these tortillas, and we promise they’ll be the gift that keeps on giving.
Soft and slightly sweet, these are as good when crisped up as a quesadilla as they are when left pliable and pillowy as a wrap. Like your parents on your childhood trip to Disney, these tortillas will hold what you’d like but they won’t passive-aggressively guilt you with it for years to come.

5. Cinnamon Twist Danish
Chubby Checker was decades ahead of his time, telling people to do The Twist before TJ’s heard the call, said “bet,” and very clearly understood the assignment. Probably.
We have to assume that “do the twist” referred to this laminated dough layered with creamy cinnamon custard that’s twisted into a spiral and baked, but it’s hard to find good rhymes for that.
Available at Trader Joe’s
6. Sous Vide Turkey Breast Tenderloins
Turkey is not just for Thanksgiving. Turkey is for spring. Turkey is year-round. Time is a social construct, and everything we know is falling. If existentialism makes you hungry, you can just quickly warm a turkey tenderloin!
The sous-vide method of cooking ensures that they’re fully cooked yet stay moist, and the neutral seasoning of salt, garlic, and onion gives customers the option to add them into any meal for a little extra protein.
Available at Trader Joe’s
7. Mini Chocolate Chip Croissant Swirls
Are these croissants or chocolate chip cookies? All famously difficult decisions of equal gravity. Luckily, Trader Joe’s has alleviated at least one of these choices. Two, if you consider that you accidentally spent so long browsing the aisles and now there’s no time for movie night.
TJ’s mini chocolate chip croissant swirls combine the buttery layers of a croissant with the sweet pops of chocolate chips in a mini-swirl format that will have your home smelling absolutely intoxicating after just about a half an hour in the oven at 350 degrees.
Available at Trader Joe’s
8. Dulce De Leche Ice Cream
While we’ve eaten ice cream in climates so cold it’s proven the resilience of the human condition, it is nice to have a new ice cream coming into the picture at a time when the air temp doesn’t invite us to say “challenge accepted.”
This ice cream doubles down on the caramel, starting with a caramel ice cream base before swirling in a ribbon of dulce de leche. True caramel fiends are free to add even more caramel, as long as you keep your mitts off of our pint.
Available at Trader Joe’s
9. Brown Butter Salted Caramel Mini Biscotti
People often have go-to green flags when looking for love: “respectful,” “same sense of humor,” “kind.” Our ultimate green flag is “brown butter.” A treat made with brown butter is one that we will promise to love more than any human.
If you’re throwing an afternoon tea or attending an office potluck, bringing these mini Italian-inspired biscotti cookies with their warm flavor notes and pops of salted caramel will guarantee you a next-time invite and the illusion of being high-society.

10. Celebration Cake and Baking Mix
We may be adults, but we’re never too old to believe that funfetti really does taste better. To match the sunny spring weather, this cake and baking mix provides the shortcut to a colorful, sweet, and celebratory batch of cupcakes, cakes, or cake-pops.
Not only does it include the cake mix, but also the frosting and sprinkles! This all-in-one kit is perfect for celebrating a promotion, birthday, not punching your annoying coworker in the face, or successfully punching your annoying coworker in the face if you work at a UFC gym!
The celebration possibilities are truly endless.
