We get it. You have dreams of the perfect Halloween garden. Trouble is, watering, soil composition, and sunlight are not your friends. So, what’s a Halloween lover to do? The adult option would be to head to your local nursery for some tips. In the meantime, check out Target’s Faux Succulent collection for 2021.
The Ghoulish Garden is part of their Hyde and Eek collection, which brought us last year’s skeleton flamingo and this year’s pirate ship cat scratcher. Here are the “plants” available this year. Because your windowsill deserves something as dead as your soul.
Target Halloween Succulents for 2021
1. Animated Dancing Plants with Pumpkin Planter, $35
If you ever wondered what Audrey II looked like as kid, now you know. Just don’t get too close. She will take the last bite of your dessert.
2. Terrarium with Yellow Plants, $20
These little orange plants are described as “creepy,” but they look like they’re very proud of you. Even though you did just do unspeakable things to Paul Allen. Actually, now that you mention it, maybe they are kind of creepy.
3. Wild Gorechild Planter, $20
And you thought regular orchids were fussy. Just wait until you have 18 yellow eyes complaining about how messy your apartment is. They’re also available as stems for gifting your favorite goth.
4. Pumpkin Planter, $20
Have your own creepy plant and need a Halloween planter? Pot a spider plant, Venus fly trap, or some wolfsbane in this metal jack-o-lantern. And don’t forget to name it! Vincent Van Grow deserves the best.
5. Ghoulish Garden Wreath, $20
This gothic wreath is the perfect accessory for your front door during spooky season. That’s July, right? Or, throw it above your mantel and add this vine for extra oomph.
6. Kiss of Death Cloche, $20
If these lips could talk, they’d be banned from all future trips to Vegas. The scorpion is already on thin ice. Also available as stems and one baby plant.
7. Venus Fly Trap, $20
These are Audrey’s posh cousins from the Upper East Side who don’t dance but are still delightful. It also comes in a tiny version for when you want to give off a cute yet creepy vibe.
8. Preying Posies, $20
So this is what the demogorgons have been up to during their time off. They even made stems!
9. Dreadful Daises, $20
If all the ghoulish plants above weren’t on the nose enough for you, maybe these black daises with skulls will be. Except for the nose part. They don’t have those. Also available in a smaller version.
